TATTOO AFTERCARE
How to look after your new tattoo
The aftercare will determine the way your tattoo will look after it is fully healed.

Leave the dressing applied by your artist for around 1.5 - 2 hours.
Wash your hands and gently remove the dressing.
Wash your tattoo with a mild anti bacterial soap until all of the excess ink and plasma has gone.
After washing make sure to PAT dry with a clean paper towel.
DO NOT RUB.
When dry apply a thin layer of your chosen cream/lotion.
DO NOT USE VASELINE.
Then recover with a new, clean dressing.
You will need to wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day for a week by repeating the above method.
Cover at night for the first few days to prevent infection.
Wear loose clothing over your tattoo while it heals.
For 2 weeks after avoid swimming, hot tubs and prolonged submersion in water.
Avoid direct sun exposure.
DO NOT put sun cream on a tattoo that is not fully healed.
Tattoo scabs are normally gone within 10-14 days and will be replaced with a "silver skin" which will last about a week.
Your tattoo might look dull at this point but will brighten up afterwards.

You, the customer, are fully responsible for your own aftercare.
Your artist cannot be held responsible for your aftercare.
Your artist cannot be held responsible for poor aftercare once you have left the studio.
